Milwaukee Ecosystem Resources
MKE Tech Hub Coalition
The MKE Tech Hub Coalition is a unifying voice for the Milwaukee tech ecosystem. We harness the power of companies, entrepreneurs, educators, community organizations and other area stakeholders to grow tech talent and innovation in the Milwaukee region.
As Milwaukee rises as a tech community, so does the demand for tech workers – there are more tech jobs than people to fill these roles.
The Coalition was formed to address this need. Our work spans establishing a diverse and inclusive talent pipeline, amplifying the voice of our members, and creating meaningful connections that serve as a catalyst for innovation in the #mketech community.
MMAC
For more than 150 years, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) has been serving area businesses as a private, not-for-profit organization. Today we represent 1,800+ member businesses with more than 300,000 employees in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington and Ozaukee counties and beyond.
Driven by the needs of our members, we are committed to increasing the economic vitality of the metro Milwaukee business community. The organization's programs and resources center around three core competencies. The MMAC is the region's best business network, bringing members together to develop business, share best practices and build stronger business relationships. We are the key private-sector partner for economic development, working to strengthen our business base and attract and retain jobs and the talent to fill them. And we serve as the region's advocate for member businesses at the local, state and federal levels.
M7
Milwaukee 7 (M7) is the regional cooperative economic development platform for the seven counties of southeastern Wisconsin (Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha). Our mission is to drive growth by helping homegrown businesses expand while attracting new businesses and talent.
VISIT Milwaukee
VISIT Milwaukee creates economic impact and supports a stronger, more inclusive community by promoting Greater Milwaukee area as a premier tourism destination.
Through sales, paid advertising, experiential marketing and earned media, VISIT Milwaukee promotes the region as a premier destination for business and leisure travel. We are the only local organization solely dedicated to marketing Milwaukee on a national and international scale. We do that by highlighting and promoting our businesses, venues, facilities and family attractions. By telling the story of what our amazing city and region have to offer. By hosting tours and influencer events. And by traveling around the country to bring Milwaukee to meeting and event planners. Even our little brother in Illinois took notice. As part of our experiential leisure marketing campaign, VISIT Milwaukee took over Union Station in Chicago to make sure Chicagoland residents knew the best summer festivals are just a train ride away. And the 2024 Republican National Convention, an event that will bring a global audience and more than $200 million to our hotels, restaurants and bars over the course of a week.
From hotels, restaurants, bars, retailers, event services and so much more, VISIT Milwaukee is also proud to partner with more than 800 area businesses that believe in the power of tourism. Our corporate partners believe that making Milwaukee an amazing place to visit can help create an even more amazing place to live and work. Together with our partners, we’re working to make a better Milwaukee every day.
